A worm cafe has been on my to do list for a while, 3 weeks ago I finally crossed it off. Instead of making it out of wood I used an old protein shake container and drilled some holes around sides.
Starting from the bottom, the container is filled with peat moss, chopped compostables, newspaper, and cardboard. After a few days of checking the progress I noticed nothing was happening. No worms. Maybe the the food wasn’t chopped small enough? So, I made a compost smoothie made with egg shells, kitchen waste, & little water. Next morning I found lots of worms eating. LOTS! After 3 weeks, I have a raised bed filled with big fat worm! BTW: I didn’t buy them. They were either living in my bed or were thrown in there when I was cleaning my patio. Free is sweet.
**I have no idea what I’m doing in the garden. So, if you have any suggestion please, drop me a line.**
Cool, I’ve actually never heard of a worm cafe before! This is a great way to get worms for your compost
